Vice is a biographical comedy-drama film directed by Adam McKay which follows Dick Cheney on his path to becoming the most powerful Vice President in American history.
Two very meaningful images of the movie are the fishing symbolism and the idea of lots of stacked teacups and saucers to represent the power of small decision after small decision and a tipping point where they all collapse. That is what I’ve depicted in my conceptual illustration: Dick Cheney’s head is a teacup which has started to fall over, and a hook is thrown from his brain to catch a fish (which is seen in his glasses).
Now, with this print you are going to make a political statement – it is simply a conceptual depiction of Cheney, so depending on your like or dislike for Dick Cheney’s actions, there’s a storytelling piece for your guests here.
